Still Here and Still Writing: The View Looks Good

I’m amazed and I don’t believe it! Four years ago I created this writing space on Thanksgiving Day and I’m still here and still writing.

It only seems fitting on this upcoming Thanksgiving Day to give thanks to the people that regularly visit A Square Of Chocolate.  I’m hoping you have found inspiration, had many giggles or simply enjoyed reading my stories on some level.

To you, dear readers, I’m extremely grateful for sticking with me for 4 years!

I’ll be honest; there were times I thought about shutting it down.  Then I realized this is the only space where I’m the boss, can take true ownership and have complete writing and creative freedom

I’ve put a lot of time and effort into this blog site, so it’s very hard for me to pack it up and store it away.  However, as I grow and find my way through this writing process, it may transition into something else. I’m just not sure what that is, yet.

Most of my visitors know who I am, but for those that I’ve been newly introduced, I’m sharing an updated and freshened up Bio Page.  Many come here via their mobile smartphones and don’t see the whole blog site design, so I’m providing this link to My Chocolate Story, or if you’re on a computer and viewing the full blog site, it’s a labeled tab on the top menu bar.

I invite you to check it out and find out 10 things about me that you may not know. It’s possible you may not care to know and that’s perfectly fine.

I’ve learned, that’s when being the boss of this space has its advantages…I have the freedom to share what I want on the page even though others may not be on that same page.  And, that's alright.

However, it is possible, that someone will find it inspirational or entertaining.  Writing for acceptance is secondary to its real main purpose, which is to connect, motivate, entertain and inspire a few out there that may need it and that includes motivating and improving myself.

As Tina Fey said in her book Bossypants - "Do your thing and don't care if they like it."

With that said, if YOU are still here and still reading, I wholeheartedly appreciate and thank you for supporting and encouraging me.

I hope to keep growing and learning about myself through writing.

The View Looks Good!

  2. Four years! Congrats. Its a lot of work to keep a blog going for four years, especially during the times you felt like shutting it down. I can relate! Make sure to give yourself a treat or reward for achieving this awesome milestone.
